We've had this dance many times before. You ask for proof, I provide it, you either go silent and move on to something else or just deny it for no good reason.

But here we go again:

One source which I find especially powerful is the five-hundred-and-sixty-four-page book called “Auschwitz: Technique and Operation of the Gas Chambers” by Jean-Claude Pressac. Pressac began his investigation into the gas chambers convinced that they were a fraud, but after eight years of painstaking, detailed study of the source materials, changed his mind. Among the evidence he found was the presence of 20 shower-heads in the inventory for Birkenau's Crematorium II, but no water pipes leading to the shower-heads.

• The land around Treblinka has many large burial pits. The soil contains recognisable fragments of human bone in such large quantities that they can only have come from a mass murder site, and the amount of ash is great enough to have changed the chemistry of the soil. You can literally stick your hand into the soil and pull out tiny fragments of human bone.
• There is the Jewish skull collection, from victims who were gassed but not yet defleshed when the Allies found them. The paperwork necessary to identify who they were was still there, not destroyed.
• Also at Treblinka, the brick foundations of the gas chambers have been found, confirming eyewitness accounts of the Star Of David design on the tiles.
• In Auschwitz, where the gas chambers survived, there is detectable cyanide residue on the walls. The extermination chambers and the delousing chambers show distinctly different residues, matching what we expect from chemistry and eye witness testimony.
• Thousands of pounds of human hair cut off the victims, some of it taken after gassing and showing traces of cyanide and Zyklon-B.
• In Dachau, five gas chambers were constructed. Four were quite clearly meant for disinfection purposes. The fifth, however, was clearly constructed as an extermination chamber, complete with fake shower heads. Historians are divided on whether the fifth chamber had been used, the evidence is inconclusive. The case for gassings in Dachau itself is "Not Proven". But its mere existence proves that the Nazis had custom-built gas chambers for the express purpose of homicide.
• The are traces of cyanide found in Hartheim Castle in Linz, where three thousand prisoners were sent and executed. Prussic acid has been found on metal objects taken from the victims.

Add to this physical evidence thousands of documents written by the Nazis; the eyewitness accounts of survivors (both Jews and non-Jews); the confessions of camp guards, SS and Einsatzgruppen; blueprints and requisition orders, train timetables and photographs, and the case is proven beyond reasonable doubt.

You cannot blame confessions on torture or cohersion. The Nazis who confessed could have recanted but didn't, even if they complained about ill treatment and torture they didn't recant the confession.

• Oswald Pohl wrote a book detailing his confession of crimes committed as a Nazi as an affirmation of his conversion to the Christian faith.

• Before his kidnapping by Mossad, Adolf Eichmann recorded many hours of conversation with the Dutch journalist and former SS officer Wilheim Sassen. In these tapes, Eichmann freely described his role in murdering millions of Jews, and said that if he had the opportunity to murder 10 million he would have done so. He was not tortured into confessing on the tapes. He was proud of his acts and thought of these tapes as his legacy.

(The tapes were not given to the Israelis during his trial.)

As for typhus, you say that as if it were some sort of "Gotcha". It's not. The Nazis are just as culpable for the deaths of millions of people from preventable and treatable disease, malnutrition, overwork and exposure as those they gassed, hanged or shot.
