I know presidents don't really do anything or make decisions but I think it does matter, the economy is based on confidence, and having a president who appears weak makes people less confident so that's part of why the economy is so trash. It didn't help when W Bush didn't react on 9/11 or how he used to take month long vacations every August. He was an actor but didn't care about the role or just couldn't do it and people could tell. So no surprise his economy crashed. Like some movies have good actors in them but you can tell the actor is just phoning it in.
