The attitude of pessimism, nihilism and pre-determinism is true even if we have free will.

Quantum mechanics implies the opposite. We don't have free will, but we also don't have pre-determinism. Our brains are everything that we are, and they follow the laws of physics. But there is true randomness in those laws.

A saint could be born a starving african child while the worst person imaginable gets every kind of privilege they could want.

Some are born lucky, some are born unlucky.

These are true.

I'm not sure about the others.

If we don't control that randomness, that literally means the attitude of pre-determinism is true.
