But I do wonder a bit if maybe it's made up or exaggerated.

I get harassed in certain parts of town because I have long hair, religious people can be that pitty especially if it's their only identity because they close themselves of for the rest of the world.

I don't doubt it's possible or even likely, I just wonder what the story would be from their perspective.

Maybe they are jealous and don't look good with a buzz cut. Thankfully only one of those is true for me.
