I live in NYC. This prolly occurred around the Marcy projects. Theres a large Satmar sect there. almost 90% of the members are on welfare. Some have only a working knowledge of English since they go to their own schools. The women are heavily abused and married off young. The children are not allowed to go to "gentile" cultural areas. And they are rude as fuck and look at you like your garbage. No body likes them. Theres another Jewish sect in Brooklyn that has been harassed by the Satmars for years. The Satmars even threw eggs at the jews during a pro-palestine rally. Theres a documentary on Netflix about the pedophilia within the Satmars.

Edit: They also have their own police, which is somehow sanctioned by the NYPD, as well as their own schools, business district, and legally enforceable religious contracts. They also have their own ambulances.Yet... all on welfare...

Jews are inherently cultist, it's closer to Scientology than you think. The Alien has a different name, that is about it.

Reading this left me a bit flabbergasted. I've never heard of anything like this before. NYC is so ridiculous.

Searching 'NYC orthodox child molesting' would flabbergast you even more, most Israeli see the orthodox as 'the worst'.

Extreme/Orthodox of any religion has severe problems with the homosexuality (unless it's a holy man diddlydooing the young boys), they probably have a lot of money/power/real estate in that sector, it's probably not the police officers themselves who are reluctant, but higher-up orders.

It just cracks me up in the story that they're mad at the guy for being gay, but they're all on Section 8 government housing stipends! lol

Also do they really have nothing better to do than harass this guy all day? These individuals seem like real losers lol. But I do wonder a bit if maybe it's made up or exaggerated.

Also notice how the subreddit mods on reddit locked the thread even though the issue wasn't resolved.

But I do wonder a bit if maybe it's made up or exaggerated.

I get harassed in certain parts of town because I have long hair, religious people can be that pitty especially if it's their only identity because they close themselves of for the rest of the world.

I don't doubt it's possible or even likely, I just wonder what the story would be from their perspective.

Maybe they are jealous and don't look good with a buzz cut. Thankfully only one of those is true for me.

I think the "Orthodox" thing is more of a coincidence in naming / beliefs of the particular groups you're thinking about, considering that "orthodox" is an antonym of "extreme"…

[–]Mnemonic 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Well under extreme I was thinking along the lines of which more 'adult'-conversions fall under, they are more extreme than the group they want to belong to.

I know this with moderate Christians, around the age of 35+ there are some males who join in our town church group (to get lucky with the ladies) and start doing all the voluntary work like flyering and pestering people in the bar / shops and market about their new found believe untill they sudenly quit or find a breeding partner. This behavior includes sudden homophobia even though the Church they belong to is very welcoming with homosexuals.

Orthodox usually means strict adherence to the 'old' rules.

So they have overlapping behaviors in the sense of pestering and judging 'others' especially all the sand-religions considering homosexuals.

Any converts of a religion with even a smidgen of a mention of proselytisation will probably… erm, enthusiastically attempt to convert others, since they feel that it's important enough to convert that they did so in the first place. Selection bias 101.

But the definition of "orthodox" you've given as pertains to religion, as opposed to dictionary, does make your original comment make much more sense.

Ah I see after looking it up:

  • (of beliefs, ideas, or activities) considered traditional, normal, and acceptable by most people: orthodox treatment/methods orthodox views/opinions

  • (of religious people) having more traditional beliefs than other people in the same religious group: orthodox Christians/Jews/Muslims

Probably some gentrification campaign.

By the orthodox jews? They're all living there on Section 8 government housing stipend allowances, according to the story. So I doubt anyone is gentrifying anything. If anything the gay couple is probably the one doing the gentrifying lol

Actually they are. They vote as a bloc, because they vote how their rabbi tells them, so they hold large political control. Developers and lawyers which sprang up from their sect use that voting bloc as a political tool to expand their community.

[–]magnora7[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

Interesting. But I guess I don't understand, how can they gentrify an area and simultaneously all be on Section 8?

[–]Voracious_Observer 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Well, the majority of the money is made from the construction of the building. They build it next to an area of slightly richer members and then the developers get tax breaks for building affordable housing. Or they build it half section 8 and half not, so its an even bigger win.

Dunno if what you are saying is it is good business if your inhabitants are not shitheads. But I will add it. It's like free rent for your homies if you built it.

[–]Voracious_Observer 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I'm saying they make a fuckload of money and get to expand their religious beliefs. The community do other things internally, which is why they are on section 8 - its essentially a government grant for extremist Judaism, wife-beating, and pedophilia. You know, the fun stuff.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Everyone wife beat until recently, kid beat also. I think we need to take a good hard look at wtf people came from but the goddamn vatican and every other motherfucker is hiding shit from us. Yet we quibble about who the fuck is a jew....who fuckin cares, them nigs made it up for all we know and they HIDE it. Jew is nothing but me that went east. Sick of the division when it's fucking clear with megalith structures that they taught me that was tombs is clearly NOT. We are well past, but only look to elders for insight.

First of all, calm yourself. This is a thread about a specific situation and a specific community. I happen to live in the city this situation occured so I am shedding some light on it. These are not malicious statement toward a particularly group, just a examination of the situation.

They are currently in a major expansion campaign for the last two or so years.
