You've never heard of zorbing? It's really more of a balloon. Can't drown in a giant balloon.

Can if it pops and the water gets in, you can't get the closure open, you trip and can't stand back up while your face down in a puddle of water.
And wouldn't these things slowly deplete of oxygenated air anyway then?

I think it's only used on shallow water so if it pops, you can just keep standing up.
