Oh, in case you are wondering what's up with the sticks poking way high from the pots, those are antennae. Apparently, exploiting the difference in electric potential between the soil inside the pot and the air above creates a micro-current that greatly stimulates plant growth.

I'm using simple bamboo sticks with a copper wire running its length. We'll see.
