Would you rather let evil perpetuate?
Aren't you told to break the cycle: the How, or Else?
What better time to break the cycle than now?

I'm not saying we should nuke earth. Just that evil is the fundamental fact of the world. It will exist for as long as the world does. Destroying the earth is itself evil, unless every lifeform agrees to it.

True, because Evil = Good usurped
But that does not mean Evil has to dominate us
Evil dominates if we let Good i.e. ourselves be usurped
For Good to be restored - to break the cycle - shun usurpation
