It's about making the other person feel important and that you are interested in them and who they are. You will have to seem interesting, too, at some point and that usually comes later.

Yea. Interesting is a tricky one. It’s about being narcissistic. If your happy with what your doing, usually the girl is also happy.

If your looking to the girl to see if she is pleased, this makes her not pleased.

I think both. You have to be comfortable with yourself. Better for you, and we all want a partner who is confident and comfortable with themself. People are different in their needs, too. Some are givers more than others. Finding balance and compatibility is part of the quest.
