Guys and girls naturally have different interests so it always feels really fake trying to connect with a girl on hobbies and interests. As a general rule the more attractive a girl is the less interesting she is. A popular girl does not have time to develop a personality or hobbies because she is constantly on social media chatting and comparing.

The chad thing to do is get to the point. Talk about what you want to do to her. If she is into you she will be into that. If she is not then it is all a waste of time.

I prefer talking to women, always had female friends. I'm sure there are others, although it does seem rare. Most women aren't really interested in men as friends either, it goes both ways.
