Some of that shit will kill you if you just quit taking it. Which is very likely part of the design in the first place.

Going cold turkey can permanently damage your brain, yet US prisons don't allow them many times and will cut off all new inmates. The prison doctors (and some larger county jails' doctors) will "substitute" some generic thing like Trazodone or Seroquel, overriding the inmate doctor's prescription. While their brain is being destroyed from going cold turkey off of a MAOI inhibitor, they will be conked out with some Seroquel sleepy time.

Prisons be like: "Serious brain disorder, here have a Seroquel!"..."broken leg, try a Trazadone"...
