I can't condone withholding life saving medical treatment from anyone

Elective cosmetic surgery and cross-sex hormones are not life-saving medical treatment. Enough with the suicide threats. Threatening suicide has long been an abuser's tactic, and there is no evidence that claim is true. The 40% statistic is flawed - by the study's authors' own words, this statistic isn't accurate. Other critics have dissected its flaws significantly further to question if there is any merit to this claim at all.

Narcissists don't often kill themselves, even when they love to threaten it. Evidence is coming out, however, that after modifying their bodies to conform to some fantasy ideal of self and still not finding self-acceptance, their suicide rates do, in fact, go up. This is something everyone without mental illness knows - self acceptance and come from accepting yourself as you are - why the therapists have forgotten that for trans when they still know that for anorexia and body dysmorphic disorder, I don't understand (I do, actually - it's that they believe trans is innate and not a religion/mental illness/fashion trend. It's also $$).

Again, these are mentally ill people who have been told to live in their delusion and that "good" people will conform to their delusion so they don't have to ever face the bad feelings of reality. No surgical intervention for mental illness has ever worked, and this one is no exception.
