Did the first cell reproduce its ancestors in a time machine? How did it digest food without spontaneously creating its digestive system when it formed?
To take the thought experiment further let us say that the sages of this fictional universe claimed that computers are a different life form but somehow developed ports at some stage, say half a jillion years, according to scholarly estimates.
