Old Russian joke from the final years of the Soviet Union: Under Capitalism, man exploits man. Under Communism, the opposite is true.

Q: What's the difference between communism and fascism?

A: The spelling.

Clever.

As long as people are ruling other people, there will be corruption and imbalance. It seems that soon we will have a third type but I don't know what they will call it. Thanks Larry.

Communism + Fascism = Global Totalitarianism.

Socialism is corrupt sociopaths ruling people. Capitalism has lifted more people out of poverty than any other system. But it has been corrupted by greed. All the protections that kept corporations and private entities from gaining power over our system and the people have been removed, and Bill Clinton had a huge hand in that. Now politics is about money and power. We need to reinstate the laws that kept the free market fair and encouraged small business, and kept wages and inflation fair. But instead of fixing our system while we still have rights, we should replace it for a system that has killed over 300 Million people on the planet, and treated the survivors as trash. If anyone thinks that any of that stuff in the meme will go away under socialism or communism, they are truly stupid. Never has socialism fixed any of those problems, but in fact they have made them 100x worse but added genocide to the mix.

Fact.

Including NGOs, secret societies, secret agencies, etc. These "capitalist" systems exploit, oppress, exterminate, and wage war just as much globally as any other top-down systems.

The problem is not capitalism or socialism/communism. The problem is the top-down system of the ruling class.

Somehow people think that owning a lot of banker's notes makes them free from the beast system ?? LOL

It's crazy that when people come together, work together, form unions, workers rights, "seizing the means of production" . . . that's scary socialism, lol

I'm so sick of all these cheap buzzwords, and all these short sighted assholes leading us into the future, 2022, we get what we fucking deserve!

People coming together, working together, well, okay not forming unions maybe, but yes worker rights are fairly satisfied by small-to-medium enterprises. Labor has far more say and self-assertion in mom-and-dad businesses; our current problem is large organizations both private and government. Corporations suffer from lower productivity and ultimately hurt the free market.

Sorry where is this capitalism you speak of where I'm not taxed at all?

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Taxing to pay for collective services would be a socialist system. We don't live in a purely capitalist system.

I would argue though, that under a more capitalist approach, poverty levels have decreased dramatically worldwide. If we look at systems primarily focussed on hard communism and socialism, people die en mass.

True.

Biased nonsense.

ALL top-down systems are evil.

True, but some evils are less objectionable.

Where do you live? Lots of people don't pay taxes, like pensioners, homeless, and who else? But soon the IRS is hiring something like 50k new agents, some armed. I wouldn't have that job.

[–]MightyMorphinFaggot 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

uk.

If pensioners buy goods it'll have 20% tax on it so eh, then you die and your estate has inheritance tax.

If you worked out how much money actually went back into the government we only make % of what we make lol. Absolute shit when people go muh capitalism is ruining everything. So much tax we may as well be communist.

I lose 25% of my wage before I get it. Then I have to lose 50% of my income on mortgage and bills. So I have 25% of my income to spend, of which another 20% is tax. Not to mention if I actually want to drive to work for the fun of it, I'm forced to pay car insurance, and road tax, and what is it now 80% fuel tax?

Lucky to have 10% of my wage a month.

And yet, MUH CAPITALISM.

I was just telling a joke that says both systems are corrupt, right now at least, so the result is the worker gets screwed no matter which system they live under. It sure sounds pretty hard over there.

Hard everywhere and anywhere at the moment. Just keep pushing day by day though and it'll be fine.

Support small businesses. The biggest problem is that they're no longer breaking up the monopolies.

No system is perfect, and that includes capitalism. But I can’t help but notice that the people who spout stuff like in OP are some of the most conspicuous consoooooomers out there.
