This is completely meaningless if this person isn't going to show what post caused the ban.

Scott Ritter is a former US Marine Corps Officer and UN Weapons Inspector. He attempted to dispel the lies of the Bush Administration that were being used to justify the invasion of Iraq at the UN in 2003, eventually he resigned his position in protest. Today he is a fierce critic of the current US foreign policy and, informed by his knowledge and experience as a former military intelligence officer, he often gives his opinion on current geopolitical events in interviews to independent media outlets and in various online podcasts.

I followed his account as well much of his other content online and know from first hand experience that the topic he is always talking about is the current war in Ukraine, and his position on this war goes very strongly against the dominant pro-Ukraine narrative. His first ban has been confirmed to have been motivated by his remarks on the war and it is difficult to ascertain what caused his second ban (specially since Twitter doesn't allow you to see posts from banned people), but it is very difficult to see it coming from a different cause, specially since he did state on a recent podcast that he was again banned for his commentary on the war in Ukraine.

If you want to see for yourself what kind of commentary he was making, you can see an example on this interview:

I see him talking about Nazis in Ukraine..

I think he should be allowed to speak what he is saying.

Musk and his genius is vastly over rated by many. I'm not saying he's dumb but he is a modern day snake oil sales man.

He makes outrages and unrealistic promises on impossible time scales.

I recommend watching Thunderf00ts videos on Musk. He does a great job showing Musk for what he is. (Assuming you can handle Thunderf00ts arrogance.)

https://www.youtube.com/c/Thunderf00t

I am rooting for Musk on Twitter though. You would have to be willfully blind to miss what was going on there before Musk. (Like selling a blue checkmark for $13000) I just hope things will somehow be better now...don't know if that possible though...

No I can't listen to that man lol. His mannerisms are ass. 0 room for "this is what I think but I want your input because I might be wrong".

Musk and his genius is vastly over rated

We sit here on a cheezy $20.00 GoDaddy forum that has more bugs than my dog, and we are judging a man that builds and flies spaceships and he designs and builds fairly nice electric cars, etc, etc..

Elon musk is actually a lizard alien. /S

Elon musk is actually a lizard

Proving every day that being ruled by the lizard people might not be such a bad thing after all. Under their stern but fair stewardship, distinctions such a race or religion will no longer matter, and we will be judged solely by the caloric value of our meat.

[–]ShekelPa 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

And? Youre all fucking retarded if you think any of this is about free speech. It does not exist. It makes more sense if you replace free speech with information control.

It does not matter who takes the helm, the information will never be fully accessible or transmissible. That is why it is better to aggregate with several different social media sites and piece the bigger picture that way rather than depend on one centralized service to do it for you.

[–]iamonlyoneman 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That, plus: free speech online is completly impossible. Much like other kinds of absolute freedom, most normal people wouldn't want it if they got it. Free speech online means open organization of violence and distribution of CSAM without consequence, every bit as much as it means gentle political disagreements.

I’ve never been so conflicted. Supported the buy. But i have never been on the Elon musk train.

[–]HongPongHooey 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I am betting that Mr musk is losing sleep.

[–]SMCABwhatever 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

He's literally the AntiChrist. And I don't even believe in that shit. Wake up people.

[–]tiny-brown-mug 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (4 children)

Coming from someone who does believe in that "$#@!", I have never fully trusted him, either. He's bright, but a little too bright. He seems to say the right things, but then he does dumb, self-destructive stuff like suggest how AI could be used to kill people and then uploads AI into a robot.

People seem to just love him because he ((seems to be)) a classic Libertarian, which is nice on some levels, but then, placing that much faith in a single human being to literally solve all of humanity's problems is pretty much a textbook definition of the Anti-Christ, anyway. I don't think he is, but I don't trust him, either.

Cults of personality never go well, on either side of the isle. Or in the middle.

[–]SMCABwhatever 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yeah and my full understanding of the term probably isn't up to snuff.

Basically, before the Twitter thing I think he fit the definition better. The Twitter thing skewed it a bit but not so much after hearing this stuff.

Bottom line, billionaires aren't to be trusted, period.

His companies are propped up by the govt. He's connected deeply, and he's playing everyone. I've been saying it since neuralink.

[–]tiny-brown-mug 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Oh, Neuralink scares the heck out of me. Like, what in the actual world? Why would anyone ever think that this was safe, ethical, a good idea, or not immediately usable by evil? Terrible idea, imho.

The advent of AI, the merging of technology and the human body, mass data harvesting, and serious restrictions on what can and can not be said have me cautious. And this is all happening at once. I'm just watching this with growing caution and a moderate amount of horror, and have disengaged entirely from social media. This site is all I do.

To be fair he hasn't sacked them all yet. I doubt Elon was personally involved in this ban.

[–]EternalSunset[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

The lowly jannies are the smallest part of the problem, since those people mostly just do what they are paid and told to do by their superiors. If you follow the chain of command then it's the companies policy director that is delineating what people should and shouldn't be banned for.

[–]jet199Instigatrix 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

That's not how humans work in the real world at all. They don't just follow orders and do what they are told.

There has been a huge amount of entryism in the moderation industry from particular political groups to make sure they are the ones with their fingers on the button. Twitter in Ireland had to have a clear out of trans mods a couple of years ago after they were caught abusing their power, long before Elon was interested. But the rot in the US had gone too deep for it to make a difference. You can see how much was being done unofficially by the number of accounts which suddenly reappeared on twitter just when the take over was tabled. Those people banning large numbers of accounts knew their work was going to be checked and got busy setting it straight before they got caught. If it was just what they were told to do they wouldn't have bothered.

muh internet town square

So much for giving journalists a voice! Say what you what about M7, but even he would run Twitter better than Elon "Nigger Stink" Musk. The real internet town square is Saidit.

[–]Mazurro 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

For many 'free speech' is just the possibility to post their retarded conspiracy theories, takes against the mainstream and to insult niggers and faggots.

The idea that real free speech that most propose can be summed up as "we create a place with things we believe in and ban other opinions" goes through their head. What if faggots wanted to come there and spread their agenda here? Wouldn't they be banned?

[–]EternalSunset[S] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

What if faggots wanted to come there and spread their agenda here? Wouldn't they be banned?

They literally do it all of the time already and still aren't banned. They even use multiple alt-accounts to upvote their own shit to the top.

Free Speech does not exist on the Internet, we have to ban still and censor CP and Pedophiles. Epstein didn't kill himself.
