I can't say anything, I was much the same at her age.
The thing she doesn't get is those staff were doing that on purpose, perks of the job.
That's what training is. You don't actually learn by being told what to do but by doing and fucking up.

That's so true, and I am forever greatful that, as an engineer, I had supportive mentors who caught my most flagrant fuck-ups before anyone was killed...

That's so true
It really isn't.
I had supportive mentors who caught my most flagrant fuck-ups before anyone was killed...
You had training ahead of time, and supervisors who actually supervised your work and would step in if you were doing it wrong, not just pissing about on their phones.
