What's wrong? Maybe my work accident will put things in perspective and make you feel a bit better. I got slammed in my left leg by a power jack last Wednesday and got released from the hospital today. I have an open fracture(broken tibia, fibula and ankle) and I had to have surgery and a metal plate inserted in my leg. I'm using a walker right now and walking is quite painful. I don't mean to lessen your ordeal but I had to get it off my chest. Life sucks. Hope you feel better.

Damn man! I was just being a mopey bitch compared to your thing. Just got home from a concert, so my night ended on a high note. How long is your recovery going to take? You might start feeling the weather like me.

I hope they gave you good meds.

Who was playing at the show? It's all relative you know. Sometimes mental distress can be worse than physical pain. Seeing your lower leg dangling and bending at the half of the tibia is freaky enough. This guy just took it upon himself to move the power jack out of his way although he had never operated one before. I didn't faint thankfully but I had to wait an hour and a half for the ambulance while a puddle of blood was pooling around my foot.

I was given plenty of hydromorphine at the hospital and the paramedics had me on ketamine. Free drugs! In all seriousness though, I'll file for worker's comp and I am looking at my options to pursue litigation against the company the temp agency assigned me to. So many safety violations... I knew it was only a matter of time before something serious would happen. And it had to happen to me. I'll need to do some physiotherapy and there's always a risk of serious infection and blood clots. Thanks for listening man and keep your chin up! I'm gonna it the bong now.

Ooof. Sorry to hear that. Hope your recovery is fast and as flawless as possible. You might want to consider working on a new roadmap for your future, in the short, medium, and long term. Shout out if needs arise and maybe we can help.

Thanks man! My mobility will be drastically impacted for the next weeks so it'll be a good time to reconsider things and see where I go from here. I'll have plenty of time to play guitar and improve my skills somewhat.

Who was playing at the show?

The Black Keys headlined, opening act was The Velveteers (cute lead singer/guitarist), and Band of Horses.

hydromorphine

Used to be my favorite painkiller.

I hope this is a windfall for you.

Thanks for listening man and keep your chin up!

Anytime. My thing wasn't that bad in comparison. I don't think. I dunno, everyone is sick to death of me talking about it. Sorry if this is short, I'm pretty beat.

I'm familiar with the Black Keys but not the other bands but hopefully you had a blast there. I've got to steer clear of benzos and opiates as I've tended to abuse them in the past(my girlfriend at he time found me passed out on the floor drooling when I had some beers and Ativan and was freaking out about it(understandably)). I dunno, it's sometimes nice to relate on a personal level with some of the friendly regulars here. Nothing to be ashamed about. :)

I do the same with stims, but am fine with other stuff. Opiates make me feel nauseated and benzos make me forgetful and stupid, neither is that enjoyable for me. My tolerance rises rapidly too, not sure I can ever have enough medicine to get hooked on, used to take hydrocodone for a few years before getting sick of being treated like a junkie.

Stims are enjoyable every now and then but I'll get a severe panic attack if I'm not careful so I stick with weed. Pseudoephedrine from cold medication will do that too if I take it for too long...
