Here's a good question. Why let your 6 year old kid watch TV at all? I'm not saying some exposure to Television is going to harm them, but why bother letting them watch stuff you don't like? Why bother with these shows made specifically for children? Why not just give them so toys or let them play outside?

Surely the kid doesn't benefit from TV?

Not many, I don't think I've seen one case where it's a stepmother.
