Which we already knew though. Like pretty much anything promised during a campaign, it's only going happen at long as there are votes to be wrung from it. But once the election is secured, there'll suddenly be a truckload of reasons why it "can't" be done (and, naturally, it's mostly/entirely the other party's fault, donchaknow).

It still creates the perception that the Democrat party want to, and would if they could. That's bad because it gets greedy student debt holders to support them.

Yes, I don't think any government should be taking taxes directly from the working class and handing it to the middle class.

Also such a move would have exactly the same effect on inflation as covid handouts did, which affects the whole world.

Before he took office, he said that he would not use executive orders to get things done, because that is what dictators do.

    Give it time. Most likely the entire program will be blocked. Probably by the republican half of the kosher sandwich after they take back congress, but if they dont some other excuse will be used. Its just an election year gimmick.
