Oh the Muslims say many of the same things that the Christian right has been saying for years as rightly so as social conservatives they should. But the question is the media covering it? I've been privy to several Muslim religious protests but rarely if ever will they get much coverage. This is the corner the left has painted themselves into over the years, criticize refugees from majority Muslim countries makes you a racist islamophobe, I'll be called one regardless of my fairly liberal preference towards allowing refugees in, simply because I think vetting needs to take place and we need to be very careful when dealing with the touchy subjects of cross cultural integration. I'll be called a bigot by the rainbow flag wavers for my propensity against letting in every Afghani, Somali, or Syrian refugee without vetting, they'll welcome them to live in their neighborhoods or so so they say.

I for one have no issues with my neighbors being of any ethnicity but should you bring a bunch of third world uneducated laborers into your country there will be practical issues that need to be dealt with, to say nothing of the cultural gaps. The gay couple down the street will sing very loudly how they welcome the Afghani to live next door to them, but should the Afghani actually live there know that them accepting that gay people have a right to live is a best case scenario. Or perhaps you misinterpreted the context of "we should stone the gays" as referring to marijuana legalization. Be a rude awakening either way.

I wouldn't have any issues with the odd refugee. They can be assimilated well enough into productive members of society. But you want to avoid the natural human tendency of grouping together I to refugee neighborhoods all in one place here as it actively works against their integration into the new society even if it's more comfortable for the 1st generation immigrants.
