Here in Tennessee we kind of keep it quiet that we have the same gun carry laws to give local folks a chance at bagging an out of state bad guy.

I would carry a black powder pistol, probably a pepperbox. It has to be manually loaded, but it's a super cool looking piece, and it is technically NOT a firearm. But it shoots just like a firearm. and if I carry one on each hip, I would have twelve shots.

I really wouldn't walk around town doing the open carry, but if I should want to go off into a forested area to go hiking or camping, I don't want to meet a bear or mountain lion without one or two loaded guns and a good sharp knife.

At least then while the bear is chewing on my leg, I can unload into his head and kill him.

There are some scary animals out in the woods.

The pepperbox might not be accurate at 25 feet away, but it is very accurate at point blank range.
