I neglected to have my molar crowned after a root canal because I reached the maximum amount the insurance company would pay. It cracked a few months later and broke in half while I was eating peanuts. I had to pay 300$ out of my pocket to get the loose half removed. There's nothing like sliding your tongue between two tooth halves. I still have a bit of feeling at the base of that tooth half and it's sensitive to hot and cold. FML

The crown fell off again, I will be careful -- thanks for the heads up, but the tooth is coming out anyways. You still have half a tooth?

Yup. I'm down to one and a half molar on the lower left side of my jaw. It sucks not having dental insurance.

I don't know how things are in Canada, but Dental insurance is pretty affordable in the states. $20-$40 a month.

I should consider that. An individual plan with Blue Cross in Canada is 39$(about 30 US Dollars) a month. On the rare occasions I go to the dentist it's usually because I have insurance at work. I'm a hopeless slacker...
