When I was younger, almost thirty years ago, a gay boy was beaten to death while walking thru the Montrose section which is a heavily gay section of houston Texas.

Some very hateful men pounded large nails into wooden sticks and they beat this young man to death simply because he was gay.

So hey, don't engage in any level of hateful behavior, because it only spawns more hatred.

R.I.P.

It's unfortunate, but people get killed for a lot of reasons. Those men were looking to kill someone.

I've called more straight people faggots that the gays.

Faggots are everywhere.

Ditto. Not every faggot is gay. Policing words is stupid. Although if you bust out faggot in a sentence people tend to get shocked a little, which is hilarious.

There's a difference between being hateful and being violent, mean, and stupid. Hate is a natural human response and it's not healthy to bottle it up imo. In fact, the internet is super handy to dump hate onto and not inflict it on irl people. I guess the problem is some other people take it in, but that sounds like a them problem and we can't, shouldn't try to suppress basic human emotions for them, because well, we shouldn't cater to special groups so radically. That's insanity.
