Holy shit bro I just found out people are putting something on their FOOD that will explode if you put it in contact with water! Have you heard this bit about sodium? We basically can't even process this stuff AT ALL in our digestive systems, it's incompatible with life!

I LOVE your comment and the message you are pointing out.

That said I think you are confusing sodium and potassium with the water reaction.

Otherwise spot on.

Another great comparison to this that's a little more spot on is that we literally can't digest cellulose which comprises the cell wall of vegetables. That said even though we can't digest this part, vegetables are still generally very good for you and necessary and in fact the undigested cellulose is crucial to the digestive process as it helps work as a bulk forming fibre.

Both pure sodium and pure potassium will have an explosive reaction with water due to the heat of the reaction igniting the hydrogen gas product. IIRC the elements under them in that column of the periodic table have this property as well

You are right, my bad.

Thyroid hormone is metamorphic in amphibians like ecdysones are in insects, and you need that, this isn't really relevant.

Also polysaccharide is spelled with two c's, and you likely ingest a ton of it because plant cellulose is a polysaccharide. I don't think Rob Schneider knows wtf he's talking about.

You didn't address any argument made. Nor did you attribute it to the correct person.

Have fun looking over the original thread:

https://patriots.win/p/15IrYyel8A/rob-schneidr-in-other-words-bill/c/

Which I wouldn't have posted, had you not posted a straw man reply.

Sad.

You didn't address any argument made.

Are you retarded? I addressed both why chitin being a polysaccharide and indigestible is not necessarily problematic, as plant cellulose has the same qualities, and why metamorphic hormones are not necessarily problematic either. I really dont care what braindead idiot this is attributed to, especially considering they don't even know how to spell some of the words they are using

[–]Questionable[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

The argument was based on cancer. Speaking of cancer. you. And again, you failed to attribute the information to the correct person.

I really dont care

Correct. You do not care. Which brings up the Question, why did you attribute it to anyone in the first place? Again, a straw man argument meant to to discredit.

especially considering they don't even know how to spell

Please see your own above misspelling of the word "don't" and promptly shut the fuck up. You couldn't even make it through a single paragraph without embarrassing yourself.

Sad.

I don't really twitter, but from my limited understanding, Rob Schnneider didn't say anything besides "Bill Gates Go F#ck Yourself!" right?

It's the other person, Jacqueline Gan who said all of this quarter truth pseudoscience.

I take all my dietary advice from Rob Schneider.

Shellfish contain chitin too. You worried about eating shrimp and lobster? Lol why do people believe random quacks on YouTube and Twitter.

[–]DirewolfGhost 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

You're not supposed to eat the shell, ID10T.

Tell China that.

[–]ID10T 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Shellfish allergy is the allergic reaction to the chitin that's in the shellfish. There's chitin in dem scrimps even when you remove the shell...

[–]jet199Instigatrix 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I think it's more you don't want to make it your main food source if you can help it.

I mean we are already told to limit shellfish because of mercury. People who eat loads of shellfish all the time are not healthy.

It's strange how so many replies bring up shell fish when it was never brought up in the first place.

You pretend to take your advice from the World Economic Forum. You suck the throbbing thorax of a locust sensually before sadistically blighting it in half, the eggs of the mother, exploding across your tongue, it's rancid flavor causing your to salivate excessively, as you snuff out it's life. the slime warms you, as it's mass slides down your throat. Like a freak, you mash the remnants of it's body against your teeth with your fingers, crushing it's exoskeleton, smearing it across your lips. You eat the bugs, you live for the bugs. You are an insect.

Fuck that's hot dude. It's like if Kafka wrote for Hustler. Impressive!

I do possess a particular literary skill set. Yes. Though I still must caution you against ingesting bugs. And never go full vegan.

[–]GraviAss We Can 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Then how come people eat mushrooms and are just fine? I remember from class that it takes a good time to digest, NOT that it is INDIGESTIBLE.

[–]SoCo 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Very technically misleading and inaccurate, but I agree that bugs are pretty substandard food, similar to our re-constituted excessively-processed non-food, most products are made from. I get the feeling that rich people are trying to warm us up to be bottom feeders, when the purposely cultivated food scarcity plan is completed. Meat for the rich, bugs for the poor.

I suspect the vegan movement is pushed for the same reasons. Can you imagine voluntarily giving up meat back when everyone could afford meat. Suckers. They got back into the peasant diet eager and willingly.

So don't eat fucking insects.

[–]CreditKnifeMan 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Bug induced transhumanism.

[–]IMissPorn 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Plenty of mammals eat insects. It's okay to just say you don't want to without inventing pseudoscience justifications.
