My buddy put one of those big vape batteries in his pocket, along with some pocket change. It shorted and a quarter melted through his pocket and fell into his shoe. He now has a quarter sized George Washington branded on the top of his foot.

That's dumb. Vaping uses a lot of power for a short amount of time. The best thing to do is have a super capacitor connected to a fast charging NiCad. Lithium ion requires a charge and discharge controller. It also has a lower voltage. A vape needs to be small so there is no room for electronics. The voltage determines how much power you can pump into the capacitor.

The warning is not because it is more powerful. It is there because morons use it without a charge controller and it burns up.

Not an expert on hardware or batteries. My rig is a pretty decent size, idk if it has a charge controller, but I'd guess it does based on what you are saying. All the batteries I have seen for this and had in the past are lithium ion type, but none of them said not to use it for vape.

Someone has a dumb lawyer who doesn't realise this won't cover them at all.

If you are selling something for a specific purpose you can't get round liability by telling them not to use it for that purpose.

These batteries are all made in China, I think a foreigner trying to sue would be SOL anyways.

Just use a dedicated vape battery charger like NiteCore, use a regulated device(mod) and buy some plastic shrink wraps for your batteries in case the wrap gets damaged(short circuits can be explosive with Li-Ion batteries). Never carry loose batteries in your pockets; carry them in plastic cases. You can get all these items at your local vape shop.

Perhaps you already know this and I'm typing this for nothing. Better safe than sorry though. I've never had any issues and I've been vaping for years. Happy vaping!

Well I didn't know the part about dedicated chargers, I''ve just been using my macbook and my kindle usb cable 😅. Haven't had an issue yet, knock on wood. Was just a bit confused why this particular battery has this warning, I have old batteries from Lithicore and mxjo that don't have any such warning about not using them for vaping.

I've just been using my macbook and my kindle usb cable 😅.

That works too and it's perfectly safe to do so. The advantage of having a charger and extra batteries is you can swap your depleted battery with a fully charged one so you don't have to vape with a USB cable in the way. I've seen similar warnings on batteries too. Just a disclaimer by the company. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Why don't you show me the full serial number of that vape battery?

With a Chinese serial number and $5 you can get coffee from Starbucks.
