Good article. I confess I partly fell for this propaganda, believing there might really be laws strict enough to make this a problem in some states. But after reading this and investigating a little I can find no evidence this is so.

I do think it's very important that laws be worded carefully to avoid this, but it does appear there is a lot of counterproductive fearmongering over an issue that isn't currently a problem.
