It hits on a point most leftists need to get into their head, optics matter. I'm more or less on the leftist side of the fence when it comes to issues like gay marriage being legal or climate change being a major issue that should be taken seriously. But there's so many goddamn idiots running the media circus of course you're going to lose the battle for public opinion.

If the gay agenda image is two men in suits otherwise behaving like Mormon saints then the right wing opposition is weak and they don't have ammunition. Of course the leftist answer to that is "fuck that I'm not letting the right dictate how I should live" and then extreme cases you get the stupid drag queen children's time with some dumbass with a dildo making sexual gestures in front of children. I'm sorry do you want everyone who is right of you to think y'all are pedophiles? You gotta do gatekeeping and optics pruning to keep these idiots out of the public light. Yes that includes shaming pedophiles for wanting to live their authentic self.

Otherwise the right can just do what they do now is go to pride parade set up a camera and be all like "see we told you these people are all sexual deviant pedophiles". and see polling success.

Same with the climate cunts that block traffic and do other stupid things. Average Joe cares about how the issue effects him specifically and if the effect is "I can't get to work and provide for my family" naturally he's going to take the opposite position. We need to do more to keep these dumb fucking kids under control.

Look how marches for racial equality went from MLK to BLM.

You can't keep 'em under control LOL but good for you for caring. Please don't become a political consultant, it might actually help their cause.

You gotta demonize these people within your own party and distance yourself from them. The right has the same problem with the religious extremists that will ban things like ectopic pregnancy if given the chance. These people are stupid, not in positions of making policy, and are a small small minority of the right, but they're the dumbasses out waving the signs and they're the ones the left see as the mainstream right.

I don't know what to do. The fact is that a lot of gay men are on a spectrum of degeneracy. Sure, my husband and I conform to the suited-Mormon-saint image (well OK maybe flannel shirts and not suits) and we conspicuously avoid monkeypox orgies ... but I can think of only a handful of other gay male couples who are monogamous (I mean really monogamous and not just pretending to be to the outer world). A lot of even same-sex-married gay men are still scrolling through Grindr, Scruff, and other apps I have never even heard of. I think it's not unlikely that the bad optics will lead to a momentous pendulum swing back to the right.

I remember a few gay men speaking out against gay marriage when the laws were going through for exactly this reason. Gay men simply don't lead the same lifestyle as straight people so shouldn't force themselves to fit into straight people's social institutions. Maybe civil partnerships were the best ways forward after all.

Bill O'rielly mentioned an actual story of his that makes this stuff pale. It was actively suppressed to avoid upsetting the media's gay agenda.

Are there still links available?

It's in his book Culture Warrior, I recall. I couldn't tell you the page but it probably has a glossary and should be in your local library.

The short version is that there is this New England town that the fags descended on once a year to do really horrific stuff (gay sex) out in the street in broad daylight and the people were trying to put a stop to it but all the 'powers that be' didn't want to interfere. Bill had footage and showed it to ABC/NBC (wherever he was before fox) and they purposely killed the story. It would have been a media frenzy and gained them lots of eyeballs ... but no dice.

The same thing happens now with trans stuff.

They will kill stories of actually dangerous behaviour or crimes on the basis they are "salacious" and not really news but then a celebrity does something a tenth as crazy and they run stories about it for weeks.

I hate pride parades. In fact, a lot of gay people hate pride parades. They are degenerate cesspits that give liberals, regardless of their orientation, to act like animals. I honestly think we should just ban them. Besides, we don't need them in western countries anymore. As for other countries, gay pride parades are counterproductive.

Unfortunately, most gay people are clueless as to how damaging pride parades and the general behaviour of gay people are. Maybe it stems from the fact that a lot of gay people have issues with their families, particularly their fathers. Although there are a lot of straight people in the west who have issues with their fathers. Sometimes I wonder if the poor behaviour of gay people is a reflection of a society that values appearances, consumerism and freedom from consequences over family, dignity, hard work and community.

To be fair, the modern gay rights movement came into existence because gay people weren't being left alone. Bachelor taxes, violence from families, arrests for private sex acts between consenting adults and not being able to see partners in hospital. The initial gay rights movement was simple: we just wanted to be left akone. Then it got subverted and now it's all about being degenerate and authoritarian.

Take a listen to the disaffected podcast.

He thinks gay people are far more likely to have a parent with a personality disorder than straight people and then they inherit some of those traits themselves.

[–]RedEyedWarrior 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s entirely true. A lot of parents have personality disorders, which affects their children regardless of sexual orientation. I guess the problem we gay men have is that people who are sensible are afraid to give constructive criticism, so a lot of gay men do weird things without realising they are bad, like wearing assless chaps and harnesses on the public streets, crossdressing in front of children, having unprotected sex with strangers or taking illicit drugs. What gay men need is criticism for our behaviours. Problem is, most of the people who are not afraid to criticise us believe that homosexuality is always wrong, which makes any form of criticism against us look "homophobic" to liberals. Another problem is that a lot of gay men have low self esteem and do not know how to process criticism, which is also a problem with a lot of heterosexual millennials and zoomers in western countries today.

Your stance on authoritarianism is a little confusing

A bussy enjoyer having problems understanding basic concepts? Strange.

[–]RedEyedWarrior 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

To clarify, a lot of gay people now are authoritarian because they support hate speech laws, vaccine mandates, mask mandates, lockdowns, limits on what you can eat and so on.

I completely agree with you, most gay people are embracing the DNC platform of authoritarianism. But how is banning parades because you think they are 'degenerate' any better?

[–]RedEyedWarrior 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Good point. But pride parades have become obscene and they use up roads and streets. The public cannot avoid them. Why can't gay centres and gay cafes hold museum like events where the general public can come in and see the history of gay rights during pride week?

Yeah, I would also like to see more meaningful displays. They should be focusing on things like Stonewall and how the police used to raid gay clubs, and how gays were not allowed to get married. These things were clearly unjust, and afaik gay people are now protected from this kind of discrimination by the legal system. I do not see how sexualizing this issue is helpful to their cause.

On the other hand, the ACLU once protected the right of the KKK to have a demonstration, and this did not result in the spread of KKK ideology. If you want to protect speech, I think we need to protect speech we disagree with too, as sooner or later, someone will undoubtedly disagree with yours. I think the problem is not that these kind of displays are allowed to exist, but that the general public thinks it is 'woke' to never show disapproval of anything any minority group says or does. I.E. "I can't support gay rights unless I cheer on dildo parades and drag queen stripper shows for toddlers"

You hit the nail on the head. I've got a gay member of my family who has enjoyed pride parades in the past, but who now refuses to go to them because they're run by disgusting, woke degenerates.

[–]RedEyedWarrior 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

There’s a pride parade on today in the city near my town. My sister, who is bisexual, is going with her friends. I’m not going. I last went in 2018 and I had a great time, but I saw a few signs of degeneracy there and it’s probably a lot worse now. And let’s face it, gay pride parades appeal to bisexual women more than they do to gay men anyway. I’m just gonna stay in my town, relax, listen to livestreams, help out a neighbour and maybe walk around town today. What I would like is a gay bar in my town. Preferably one that isn’t woke.

Just for the record, my country legalised gay marriage 7 years ago. We don’t need pride parades anymore. What gay men need is to learn the responsibilities that come with rights.

I'm with you on that one brother. Who people are attracted to is who they're attracted to. Basing your entire personality on that is the sign of a boring, lost person - doesn't matter if you're gay or straight.

Pride is one of the seven deadly sins.
Perhaps we should review them all.

They would never dare publish an article like that nowadays.
