Oopsy daisy OP! You've fallen for some fake news! Whoops. Fake! Shame!

This purports to be an interview in Canada between Baer and "Milos Cupurdija" - a serb ethnonationalist and right wing blogger. It first appeared in fake news outlet webtribune [1] and was translated to english by serb-uk blog britic [2]

In case you think these are decent sources - the major ongoing events occupying webtribune's focus, besides how great putin is, are about an alien invasion [3] which has been going on for some years [4] and Marilyn Monroe was killed for discovering [5] - so, no, not reliable sources in the slightest.

Robert Baer has written many books, including one solely about his time in the Balkans ("Company we keep") and given lots of public speeches, but apparently, he only spilled these particular beans to a fake news blogger. Weird.

Meanwhile the CIA has opened its Bosnia archives early [6], you can go today and read all sorts of things about their role in the conflict, and absolutely nothing matches this phoney interview with a serb nationalist fake news blogger.

So - whoopsy daisy OP! You got taken for a ride by a piece of fake news! You'll have to try harder to scrutinize your sources in future, or else you'll make the same mistake again

Bullshit. Baer did that interview in 2012, it went global and he has never denied it.

Explain then. Why is the only time Baer mentions any of this, in any of his many interviews and publications, with an alien invasion blog full of serb nationalist fake news nonsense. Is it perhaps because this is also serb nationalist fake news nonsense?

he has never denied it.

Show me any single time he acknowledged this interview is real, or any single time he repeats any of the facts or views stated in it.

Obviously he would have been warned to shut up about that but anyone who remembers the complete lack of action by NATO while civil war raged in Europe has to have known the only reason for that lack of intervention was because the Clinton administration supported it and in fact at one point both Clinton and Joe Biden supported a proposal to lift the arms embargo and ship American weapons into the conflict. Sounds very familiar right? You can be sure that would have happened had it not been for massive opposition to that from within Europe so if the US government supported the conflict then the CIA damn sure was involved in instigating it so Baer's comments in that interview only support what should have already been obvious.

he would have been warned to shut up about that

What a ridiculous thing to say.

According to the English translators of the interview at the britić link I posted above, the fake news blogger Milos Cupurdija supposedly interviewed Baer during a marketing tour for a 2012 book 'secrets of the white house'.

Of course no such book exists, a total fabrication of this fake news blogger, and Baer wasn't releasing any book during 2012. In fact his book about the Balkans was released in 2011, and has no mention of any of this nonsense.

So one of these things has to be true.

Either Baer wrote a book, and embarked on an unplanned marketing tour which had precisely one stop in Canada, where he gave precisely one interview, to a serb fake news blogger who remarkably heard exactly what he wanted to hear. Then, the CIA, who had allowed him to speak and publish many times before, stopped him immediately after the single interview and warned him to shut up. (But not the fake news blogger! He was apparently beyond the reach of the CIA!)

Or, the whole thing was the fabrication of a fake news blogger whose outfit has spent a lot of 2022 warning its readers about an underway alien invasion.

The second option seems a lot more likely to me.

Look it's ok to take an L on this one. You got taken for a ride by a fake news blogger - I'm sure he'll go on to dupe smarter people than you and I. You can let this one go and check your sources more carefully in future
