Numerous countries are much more geopolitically aware and more intelligent than Americans and they complied with mask mandates and COVID lockdowns.

A country with 100% ppl wearing masks is generally effective at preventing water droplet spread, which can be a major source of transmission. When a large chunk of the population doesn't comply, it's generally ineffective. It also doesn't protect the mask wearer, but protects others from YOUR water droplets.

Soft lockdowns are generally ineffective. If 100% of ppl comply, it may slow down the rate of transmission, which could be good for hospital overloads. A strict 1-2 month lockdown would have eradicated the virus for good and we wouldn't have to go through 2 years of bullshit.

However, eradicating the virus doesn't help sell the vaccines, which is why Republicans pushed for anti-mask and anti-lockdown movements to prevent compliance whereas Dems installed soft lockdown measurements to increase population and social media control.
