Anybody wonder why the government spends trillions of dollars on pointless wars but society rages if you don't want to work a job and just want to live off of welfare?

As the saying goes...

Work hard, millions on welfare are depending on you!

We have many unable to work and thus able bodied people are expected to work by society. This is normal and fine, as we have a large and aging population. Yet, our country has such a huge abundance of wealth and revenue, that if it wasn't for pissing most of it away with wars and other corruption, then we'd easily be able to afford to support those unable to work, and a good percentage of those who were perfectly able to work, but didn't currently want to.

I would say allow for a UBI. Give them the bare minimum, but if you want to live a better life, you should contribute to society.
