Great way to turn kids off maths.

What stands out is how much these are pushing the concerns of 30-40 year old adults on to kids.

If you want to be woke at least use topics and issues which are relevant to kids to keep them engaged.

Right. You and most normal people. This is why you are seeing parents arrested at school board meetings and teachers resigning when they are told what they can't teach. This bizarre shit has been pushed for years and it's finally coming to light. Time for push-back.
