For comparison, James Fields, who struck and killed a single individual while fleeing attackers, was denied bail, was denied change-of-venue, was denied a volunteer pro-bono lawyer on tendentious reasoning, was assigned in his place a Public Defender who had been kicked out of the DA's office for borderline misconduct, and was speedily tried on both county and federal charges, had his crime mentioned daily on the front page of national broadsheets for the entire span he awaited trial.

Another case for comparison is the perpetrator of the NYC Bike Path vehicular attack, Siafullo Saipov. Saipov went to court benefitting again from zealous pro-bono council, armed with a portfolio of amicus briefs in his defense written by white-shoe law firms, and has received unlimited deference from the court despite Saipov's repeated, in-court outbursts declaring that he does not respect the court or its authority to judge him. Though his crime was committed just two weeks prior to Charlottesville, he has yet to go to trial because his attorneys insist that the accused's mother and uncle, who are in Uzbekistan, be deposed as character witnesses, a requirement which was initially held up in bureaucratic red tape over visas, passports and airfair, but became the basis of permanent obstruction of proceedings with Covid, and the matter of quarantines and such. Now the court is staying the proceedings pursuant of a Defense motion to wait and see if Garland's DOJ makes an official declaration taking death penalty off the table for all federal cases, something which would have benefited James Fields, who changed his plea to guilty to avoid the death penalty. Now that Covid restrictions have abated, the Defense is holding the manifestly frivolous requirement as a bargaining chip for a guilty plea in exchange for the removal of the death penalty.

If you are a non-White, non-citizen who deliberately mows down pedestrians in the name of an alien religion, you get the benefits reserved in the Constitution and the criminal code for naturally-born citizens. If you're a naturally born White citizen you are treated in the courts as a man without a nation.
