    Hungary, like the Ukraine, had a history of being run over by whatever army was in the area, killing large numbers of people each time.

    It makes sense they are going to have different ideas about national identity and security than countries with natural borders on most sides.

    Hungary based. Orbán has done a lot of good for his country. Although I don’t support the lockdowns and Covid related restrictions he’s imposed. But still, Hungary is doing better than all other EU countries.

    FYI, Hungary is holding national elections tomorrow. There is also a referendum tomorrow on the law on education and media. Let’s hope this law is upheld by voters. The EU and the neoliberals hate this law because they consider it "anti-LGBT". Except that shows and films with gay characters can still be shown to children as long as their parents give consent; I started playing Halo and Call of Duty since I was 11, and those games are rated 18+. Furthermore, children should not be learning about sexual stuff in schools, except for the reproduction system in secondary schools. All the other stuff should be taught by the parents.

    More children per family implies more poverty per child.

    A mean Hungarian family already is poor by European or western standards. Trust me, i was there.

    So i can see no progress an elected Nazi can bring here (and anywhere else for fucks sake).

    If i had had a say in these matters the EU never should have integrated these East-European countries so early by circumventing its own regulations.
