A DIY electric car would be cool, but it seems like this has no suspension, and would quickly break with any bumps. Wondering how other projects might've addressed this reusing parts, perhaps by keeping the CV joint

Yes. I commend this guy for following through with a project, but it does need some fine tuning on how it's put together.
