Some of the buildings in that area look like something you'd see on a movie set. Same with all those detailed brick port/factory buildings, and that round brick guard tower at the port entrance.
Interesting range of different styles of houses in the different areas.

Those buildings are apartment buildings, people live in those till this day, it's just Imperial era buildings, those buildings can be quite warm actually even with their lacklustre appearance, but they probably have 1 or 2 toilets for everyone in the building. The building do look authentic for their age. Imperial buildings are very extravagant and quite great to look at, we have some under renovation right now.
