Producing high quality animal protein for all us peasants affordably is messy. Better if we just ate bugs.

when i was homeless about a decade ago, a thai lady that was the local meth connection, she taught me how to make homemade wine.. she would get five gallon vegetable oil containers out of a restaurant's dumpster and she would wash them out and fill them with fruit and then add water up to the top of the fruit... just fyi, these containers had a nice firm plastic screw on cap, which was nice for this kind of thing..

now, with the fruit and the water in the container, slowly add sugar to the container and basically the bacteria on the fruit eats the sugar and shits out wine.

isnt that interesting?

btw, you can use apples or berries or whatever... she said you can even use applesauce... i used blackberries.. and it makes wonderful and delicious wine.

edit: when the bacteria shits out the wine, it makes a gas which will build up a pressure in the container which you will need to release every once in a while.. so, unscrew the cap slowly...

dont add too much sugar all at one time... just like you wouldnt put fifty pounds of dog food into your dog's bowl all at one time..

when the bacteria is eating the sugar and shitting wine, it makes air bubbles on top of the surface... when it stops making bubbles, add more sugar.

Yep. Fermentation isn't complicated. The first drunks just ate spoiled fruit.

nice.. yeah, btw that thai lady she was so smart about wild plants that you could eat... she could walk out into the bushes and come back with an armload of watercrests and wild celery and dozens of different kinds of delicious plants..the last time that i saw her, they had written her off.. they had her under orders to sit in a tent under a bridge and cook meth.. she was breathing toxic fumes and i am sure she is dead by now.. that is how the mafia will do you.. they use you and then they throw you away like garbage.

she could cook anything with a propane tank and a wok... she would make the sticky rice and homemade egg rolls in a homeless camp that you will never ever find in any restaurant.. she was an amazing cook.

she told me that the simplest and easiest wine to make is to take a gallon of orange juice and just let it sit for a couple of weeks.
