I would plead ignorance. Tell them you were smuggling regular men and you couldn't get them to the destination before the full moon and they turned into werewolves. I swear that's the truth, your Honor (it's your Honour, over in the UK).

I read somewhere that Americans shortened some of the words because newspaper advertisements were charged by the letter. I don't know if that's true. I like hearing from the Brits and the Aussies as long as they don't pretend to be American. We have a few of those here. They always slip up with their spelling and slang.
