Interesting story, she moved to Poland with her husband and kids, hated it, drank too much, blew out her liver, moved back to the US abandoning her kids and husband, and set about trying to find a replacement money source, only to find nobody wanted a dying woman in that way. Abandoned her cat, abandoned me, moved in with her estranged father and now apparently died.

I'm glad she's out of pain. RIP 14.

Sounds like she was unwell for a long time, RIP Penguin Plates. I’m so sorry and I hope your loss doesn’t keep you down for too long.

Thanks goobandit. She was sick for a while but it's scary how fast she managed to kill herself with booze. She's the second woman I've known who's died from drinking what I would consider menial amounts of alcohol. Women just can't process alcohol well. 15

That’s kind of how my dad went out. He was a beer drinker and one night he had a percocet (I think) or two with his beer, knowing damn well what would happen. I bet your friend knew what would happen too, it’s like a willingness, they just give up.

Doctors had already told my dad You’re sick from alcohol, stop drinking or you’re going to fucking die and he was so flagrant about it. He wasn’t even 50, my poor stupid sad dad.

You want to know how much black comedy runs through the goobandit lineage? The last movie he watched that we found in his dvd player was Live Free or Die Hard lmao it’s so fucking retarded and sad and hilarious.

Sorry about your dad. That's rough, dying from just beer and a couple percocets. Had something similar happen to a buddy years ago, he was on a common antidepressant and they didn't know at the time that it was potentially fatal when combined with even small amounts of other substances.

The one before her, Pengy being the second woman I've known to drink herself to death, was definitely intentional, a Leaving Las Vegas style suicide. That girl was really calm about dying and it happened fast. Pengy, if she meant to wreck her liver, was super unhappy about dying. It was slow, and painful and she was terrified.

But she didn't stop drinking either as far as I knew. Even with stage 4 liver disease she was drinking wine. It's hard to quit addictions, sobriety is so boring.

It’s so sad to just watch someone resign to that, I know it’s like, that’s what they think they deserve, but goddamn.

My dad was the type to get drunk as fuck and leave the party without telling anyone so it was so on brand for him. And yeah sobriety is boring, but...fucking, I don’t care. Just sit down and eat the shit sandwich with the rest of us! All this talk of dead addicts reminds me of TSR by Against Me!

An ex went via combination, not intentional.

Addictions can also be boring. Balance, meaning, purpose, fulfillment, and well-being can all be so perilously fleeting.
