God is very transphobic for telling someone attracted to men that they will marry a trans woman and like it.

God needs to go read a book then come back and do better.

Has anyone here ever been to a Pentecostal church? I have not but heard from a friend that his experience was the most scared he ever was and he grew up in the Bronx.

I have second cousins in the dodgy one in Essex.

The services were mostly soulless American happy clappy stuff from my POV. The whole thing operates more like a branch of the Freemasons than a religion, men helping each other get on in their careers.

Other than that most normal pentecostal churches in the UK are 90% African.

From what I've seen and heard, the mega-churches here in the U.S. are as much for networking as they are about getting closer to God. The smaller churches are more about community.

pentecostals, in a nutshell, believe that when they convert/are baptized(or something like that) that they will speak in tongues. If they dont, nope, something went awry.

they are some of the most enthusiastic believers that i have ever met. scared? nah. they are very nice people.

video: speaking in tongues.

From what my friend told me, his experience was not only of people talking in tongues, but also flailing around on the floor and running up and down the aisles shouting and dancing. He did not mention the handling of serpents or drinking of arsenic during his visit.

that is only for the really fanatical groups, from down around kentucky or whatever..

but also flailing around on the floor and running up and down the aisles shouting and dancing.

this is very common in a pentecostal church. those people be having a good old time. they be partying with god.
