They forgot the most important secret, hiding bottles of vodka in the toilet tank.

It doesn't matter where you hide the alcohol, a drunk will always find it.

Return registers are pretty obvious. Its only use is to make it look like you hid something there so they'll stop looking.

And never store anything too valuable in a tire or can that looks like trash. At least use something that's impractical to move, like a heavy sewing machine or lathe.
