Oh, I have seen that first hand. It didn't happen to me until I upgraded to my last phone. I was with a friend and her customer, who was getting married soon in the Dominican Republic. They didn't share any social media or hang out together outside of work, but they both had Facebook running on their phones. By the end of the meeting, my friend had an advertisement pop up on Facebook for the resort in the Dominican Republic her customer was getting married at. Facebook knew they were pending time together by GPS and decided that they may share common interests or vacation spots or whatever. That's how they also know who to suggest as a "friend".

There are many more like this in other homes. I have heard that there are websites where you can watch "hacked", or unprotected cameras feeds all over the world.

i have had a few friends thru my days that are drug dealers, and many of them simply do not own a phone.. granted, some dont care and they will carry the latest android or iphone, lol.. but there are those also that know that there are certain "dumb" phones that dont have the risks of the smart phones.

we live in very dangerous times where we simply are not aware of the scams that are being played on us.

i want to promise you that with the knowledge that i have of islam, i want to promise you that they have "war rooms" setup that are manned by phd's and others and their goal is to do what ever underhanded crap they can do to undermine and corrupt every single aspect of our lives and their goal is to install sharia law..

when that is done, you will not change this until the end of time.

i promise.

Yeah. We have to assume that everything said within 50 feet of a smart device's microphone is being recorded into a massive data database somewhere, either for marketing directly to the individual or for future access in case we end up on someone's radar.

I heard of a case a few years ago where the FBI or the like was tracking a suspected terrorist. He kept pretty much off the radar, using alternate ways to communicate with cohorts. They were able to use his utility bills/usage to determine where he was and with whom, or the other way around. If his power and water consumption went down but his friend's went up, they could assume he was staying with them. Likewise, if his utility usage went up, they would look to see which of his friend's were down. They can even tell how many people are visiting you and for how long. My assumption is that if you're on their list, it's pretty damn hard to stay off the radar.
