All I know is after never talking to chipit for a year he attacked me and tried to twist the narrative of several of my comments and it didn’t work. The thread is still up. Pretty sure Raven9 is one of his accounts. They’re 2 year old accounts.

Now I know why magnora was paranoid.

I just block everyone who’s a dick or annoying, I never respond. That’s what I did to chipit and raven9. In the past six months my block list has grown larger than my friend’s list, it’s insane.

That's just standard chipit. According to chipit, I'm a paid shill and leftist, which he came up with out of the blue one day.

He's a weird one. He's usually low key enough that he doesn't seem like his primary job is to attack site users, but what else explains the volume of his posting, and hostility? Maybe a teenager, or shut-in with anger issues?

The problem with blocking is you can lose touch with the site gestalt, and whole comment threads disappear along with the blocked user.

My only current block is socks, who is just too disingenuous and too tempting to reply to when that account begins spewing bullshit. Also had that shalom troll blocked, but when I recently unblocked both, I found that one easily ignored.

I'd suggest making a copy of your block list, then unblocking most or all to see if they're still block candidates. Maybe they've changed, or maybe you've developed more of an immunity to their particular brand of annoyance.

I agree with literally everything you said. It was just weird, as I never hopped on the anti-chipit bandwagon (I don’t like witch hunts), and I even supported him a few times when he honestly didn’t do anything wrong but was getting jumped on by people for jokes.

Then he literally did to me what you’ve experienced that first time there, and so many others, that I never got to witness.

I genuinely don’t use the block button at all, honestly - this is rare for me. You really have to be a PoS for me to block you, but after seeing him do to me what others complain he does, I was done with it lol.

I know I’ll be missing out on parts of saidit, but do I really wanna see the arguments and negativity? Lol I’d rather saidit grow boring.

There are a few chill people on here like yourself, some that I chat shit with regularly, I honestly don’t care about missing out on fights or stupid takes. And I genuinely don’t use the block button ever - everyone who’s on my block list are users who aren’t worthy of unblocking, who are here for nothing but trouble.

This reminds me of someone talking about Tallest Skil yesterday, theorizing why he's so blackpilled and easily frustrated. They described him as having been on 4 and 8 chan, and having seen the worst the internet has to offer. The funny part was how mild their description of the 'worst' was, compared to my own internet experience.

I'll gloss over the details, but it takes a lot to actually get me upset at trolling or stupidity. Even chipit is not that bad, and his behavior is more silly or weird than upsetting. I've exchanged comments with socks when it seems like the human is running the account, but then it turns back into the leftist bot that can't maintain a legitimate conversation. The block is mainly to keep myself from the temptation of getting sucked back into replying.

Remember months back when socks, popper, and nemocolin (sp?) were the three leftist reddit shills? Haven't seen nemocolin for awhile, but popper has returned after months away, and is no longer shilling for leftism. He used to be around 60% of socks leftist level, but now he's saying things like "can't let the dems win again". Not sure what's going on there, but he doesn't seem like a potential block anymore.

Seems like a lot of idiotic trolls lately, though. Almost makes one nostalgic for the loki88 era, where he at least was articulate and had points to make. Skeeter and his alts are just pure stupidity.

Anyway, the caffeine seems to have fueled a writing frenzy this morning. Cheers.

Tbh, I never blocked people like Popper, Socks or Nemacolin (?). I've even joked or had serious conversations with a few of them that weren't hostile at all, just a back and forth, mostly popper. This is the only site I think I've blocked a user on, honestly. I didn't even block any of loki88's alts. Loki has even joked with me before and I him, even tho I didn't like loki.

It's the users who act like normal users, embed themselves in the community and gain a level of trust and respect of some of the other users on this website, then pull 180's, that I block. The kind of shit Magnora made a comment about, when he started to distrust all old accounts as well. That's that shit I don't like.

Holy fuck, I see it too now. Chippy is a dick but he's not the problem there, Skeeter has more accounts than God and he's just one crazy 60yr old man. I think the "iron left" might have just been him. Ironically he drives up numbers here.
