He clearly refuses to cooperate with the ranger, saying "no" to the request to turn around. At that point, he's still just challenging the ranger, but he apparently began to physically fight the ranger when he tried to take him into custody.

At that point, the shoot became justified. Whatever that kid was thinking was pretty dumb. The family is trying to pretend he didn't physically attack the ranger, but it appears he did.

Notice how they don't interview the witnesses who were right there?

Well Charles Lorentz should not have been a ass wipe, in the video he was seen acting odd and when the ranger ask is that your friends over there Charles Lorentz answer was bleeped out. The ranger ask him to turn around and Charles Lorentz said no, Charles Lorentz was combative and was shot.

The idiot ask for trouble and he got what he wanted. PS: do as I and search for the video
