The wording of that always bugged me too.

"They're hesitant, but we'll get 'em. We'll berate them into compliance before the year is out."

I was hesitant the first time I went cliff diving. I'm throwing a hard fucking "No" at the vax.

The harder they push, the further the holdouts will dig in their heels.

How many people do you know in your real life circle that are against the COVID vaccine? I only know one and they took it anyways out of pressure.

My wife and I. My sister. Maybe a couple clients. That's honestly it. I mean, I don't go around asking, but it comes up.

My wife and sister could potentially be pressured into it, with the right "motivation" .

For me, they'd have to put a gun to my head, and even then it's a coin toss. I wasn't joking when I initially said this is my line in the fucking sand. Neither the government nor society gets to make medical decisions for me. Full stop.

You're fortunate to at least have a few people, what the hell are we going to do when vaccine passes are introduced and we can't go to markets, bars, abroad, etc? Going off grid is not a realistic option for most people, preparing now is not enough. Trying to talk about this to others in my real life is to a point where I just want to give up, a friend of mine in response to an article I showed her called me, "one of those incels that gets pulled into all of those crazy conspiracy theories". I'm not even a fucking Incel. How is it a conspiracy when the state openly admits to taking your freedoms away for rejecting something that's supposed to be optional?

I've been wondering the same thing for months and I don't know what the end result is going to be, aside from violence.

I know for a fact that I'm going to enjoy the first set of legal challenges to any sort of vax passport.

Just a bit of personal history for context: I grew up basically as an "American gypsy" and generally understand what it is to be a second-class citizen. It's nothing new to me to be shunned by society because I've honestly never fit in because I've never actually belonged anywhere.

I have a few very close friends but I don't really rely on the general community, so I'll likely be fine without, but I might have to move again and that kinda sucks.
