I only can speak for stem and i don't believe in learning curves or multiple choice tests for exams anyways.
But: Every faculty or institute has other persons doing either the same or something comparable. So when i was stuck in a situation like this, i'd start to knock on some doors.

Yeah, this is STEM too and it's integral foundational information to lead into the 3 further related courses. I wanted to avoid conflict, but you two are right about making contact.

It's not about calling anyone out. It's about getting what your paying and working for.
I believe some humans and some methods these "types" implement are incompatible. But i also know the other side of the fence and as a teaching person you always have to compromise on the lowest common divisor that your students are able to understand. So long story short: Of course there are lazy or frustrated teachers. But sometimes it isn't even their fault.
