Once upon a time, there was a country that fought for free speech. They even had a dedicated union, called the ACLU. The ACLU became famous for defending the rights of neo-nazis to March through a Jewish community. These days, we have a sea of entitled, well-meaning, pronoun wielding fascists who seem hell bent on heralding the dawn of a new dark ages by silencing discussion everywhere.

ACLU only defended Jews larping as Nazis. And the US was never for freespeech when it meant anything. They'd gladly shoot you like they did Shay's rebels.
