Honestly I don't mind taxes if they are needed. I read and read and read and finally got to a part of the article where they stated WHAT the use of this tax money was for.

"The additional tax revenue would be used to up spending for schools, provide funds for undocumented workers and for small businesses and tenants who are behind on their rent, the Journal reported."

Schools? OK, but schools were remote almost all year up there. What do they need money for? Plus property values are going through the roof everywhere in the country, don't schools get more money from taxes based on property values? Why even more needed?

Undocumented workers? Why do they need money? If they are working, they shouldn't get money. Hell, they shouldn't even be in the country.

Small Businesses and Tenants behind on their rent? Open up the economy and let them earn their money to pay their rent. Rewarding those that can't manage their money I guess.
