Yes - Russian troll farms are well known, and have been referred to a number of times by agencies of the US government, as well as in the news media. Israel troll farms are known, and there are videos inside IDF troll farms where they discuss their work as influencers for Israel. One sees their work on Reddit's Worldnews and other places. There are shills for the Modi government (India) but it seems they act independently. China troll farms are known for a long list of government projects, including hacking, spying, influencing &c; similar to Russian hacker groups. North Korea has troll farms and hackers. I just wondered if Saidit admins had any sense of the signatures of the troll farms or influencers from these countries. I've not seen evidence, but who knows.

Don't forget that British military troll farm we read about recently, and same here in the US. Our military is actually hiring troll contractors to seek out and terrorize conservative White people.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (10 children)

Yes - though they are interested in much more than "conservative" White people. They have legitimate international targets, even if recently they had to go after the gravy seals who wanted to kill and harm people in the Capitol Buiding. These aren't Isenhower Conservatives. They're Radical Republicans, some of whom believe that terrorism is OK for their their specific causes.

This is a leftist narrative that's falling apart. Those were literally Trump normies...

"They have legitimate international targets...." Who told you that? The government commits crimes every day. Is that OK? Why should people follow corrupted power structures, Socks?

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Yes - I should not use the word 'legitimate' in this context, for the reasons you mention. Since the 16th century, the US has caused numerous international conflicts - I recall something like 150 of CIA-led, or unofficial, and official. The official list is here:

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Thank you, sir. Edit: although, you never answered my question about corrupted power structures and the reason we should follow them?

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I see - indeed I did not answer that. The answer is an emphatic, 'no'. Like some on Saidit, I think we should challenge the corrupt power structures, eg. D.C. lobbyists &c. My view is that this is part of late stage capitalism, and that the main culptrits since Reagan have been the 1% (esp. boomers, closing the door on the next generation), who have been especially supported by the radical republicans. I appreciate that many on Saidit will see much of this differently, hence I argue with users regularly. But there is a general concern about the corrupt power structures.

A general concern does nothing to protect anything. If you have a general concern for a rabid dog in your house, you still have a rabid dog in your house. People like you are going to watch an Empire unveil itself, and you'll either be disgusted with yourselves for taking part in it, or you'll wisen up.

Seriously, you need to start ignoring that leftist propaganda. It will give you a false perception of reality

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

By reading right-wing propaganda that the DOJ focused on sedition (whereas they focused on assault charges instead of sedition charges, which are difficult to argue in most cases)?:

By reading right-wing propaganda

Just being to the right of Mao doesn't make everything 'right wing'.

Not to beat a dead horse, but regarding your link, and the the comments in the link I provide:

https://www.lawofficer.com/ [...] betrays the law officers at the Capitol Building by posting this misleading note about the DOJ, which are not concerned with sedition. They're concerned with assault, some of which directed at security officers. Editors at lawofficer.com should be ashamed of themselves.

I could be wrong, but lawofficer.com does not appear to be right of Mao. (Moreover, China is more of an oligarchy than a communist country. The workers are not reallly sharing the wealth of the industry.)

      Israel troll farms are known

Oh, huh, I didn't know that. I thought they always just hired people from other countries.

China troll farms are known for a long list of government projects, including hacking, spying, influencing &c; similar to Russian hacker groups.

Those aren't really troll farms, they're espionage operations.

I just wondered if Saidit admins had any sense of the signatures of the troll farms or influencers from these countries.

It's obvious which countries are targeting us — at least in the case of the illegitimate government in Beijing — but not so obvious whether or not they outsource their psyop or keep it in-house. It doesn't make a difference either way, so trying to figure out is a waste of time.
