I was afraid of that. They bought GoodReads too. I will check Powell's today and see if they ship internationally. I had never heard of diatomaceous earth but have now. Thanks. You're the information man.

I got into diatomaceous earth with my kids, to stop nits. it totally did, too, no resurgence either. turns out my friends feed it to their animals too, to get rid of worms. Made my dogs & cats very happy too. no expensive flea collars and no bites anymore.
Sad to hear about goodreads. I guess the negative comments on patrick rothfuss and george martin will get purged soon

In one room of this apartment there are mites because I stupidly bought some old books that have them and they spread. Finally I just threw the books out. In Florida they are called no-see-ums for obvious reasons. If you open an infested book, you can feel them in your hair immediately. Do you think that magic dirt would work on them? And how would I go about it? Just put out some flower pots with the dirt in them? If these things get a foothold it's damn near impossible to get rid of them. NO HURRY.

yes, magic dirt would kill them. You'd take 100g of it and blow it all over the room, rub it in your hair, generally dust the place.
