I should have taken a picture pre-shred, it was a wrapper quality leaf. I got a 2lb bag of the stuff though so I'm sure there'll be more, the quality is pretty good overall.

Neat. I bet it smells awesome.

    $35/pack.

It's $7 a pack here. That's why I started rolling my own, and later went on to whole leaf tobacco. As an agricultural product it isn't taxed at all. Costs about a buck a pack now.

This time was from LeafOnly.com, I'll order from Wholeleaftobacco.com sometimes too, and there's probably a few other vendors online.

How does this stuff compare to branded rolling tobacco?

I'd put the whole leaf tobacco, when it's good, on par with ultra premium ciggs like Nat Shermans, so I'd say it has the potential to be far better.

It is an agricultural product though, and while I've only had one bad order, it was a 5lb order. That sucked.

      Know anything about pipe tobacco?

I'm considering dipping my toe in for some stupid reason. I don't smoke, but I do know what having an oral fixation is about, among other things.

And if I do dive in, I'll be getting a Gandalf pipe. For pot and/or nice smelling tobacco.

I'll tell you what little I do know. First, many things labeled "pipe tobacco" aren't really for pipes. It's a way to pay lower taxes, cigarette tobacco is taxed higher than pipe tobacco so they say it's pipe tobacco when it's really not. You have to check what you're buying is really for pipes.

Not that it's a special type of tobacco but pipe tobacco tends to be cut differently, wetter, and more heavily cased (flavoring basically).

Those look awesome. They seem hard to clean though, and fragile. I wouldn't mind a dedicated wooden tobacco pipe, a nice one, I've had cheapies, but for weed I much prefer glass.

I'd highly recommend not smoking though. It's harder to quit smoking than to quit shooting up hard drugs.
